Air Conditioning Installation - Mayfair, London.
Install
We are approached by a Mayfair hotel looking to add additional air conditioning units to various rooms within the hotel.
Although a majority of the main areas were cooled with chilled water fan coils, there were a number of rooms in use that had no cooling.
During our initial visit to site, some of the areas were extremely warm and unpleasant to work in.
Work was broken down into two phases.
Phase 1:
- Prep Kitchen
- Housekeeping #1
- Housekeeping #2
We installed X3 6kW split units into the hotel to serve each of the areas. Pipework ran down 2 floors via risers to the condenser units located in the basement.
Phase 2:
- Goods In Office
- Spa Managers Office
- Flower / Housekeeping Prep Room
In addition we added chilled water fan coils to the following areas.
- Housekeeping uniform room
- Housekeeping office
- Canteen storage room (chocolate)
- HR Interview room
- Chefs Kitchen
The basement Engineers Office was fitted with an all in one air conditioner, venting into the underground car park area.

Introducing Powrmatic Vision, "All In One" Air Conditioner
The Powrmatic Vision air conditioner is an all in one unit that simply requires fixing to a wall. Two vent holes are drilled to allow fresh air into and out of the unit to cool the condenser.
Once installed, the unit operates extremely well and provides cooling and heating to the space its installed in.
As there is no outdoor condenser required, the unit is easy to install where pipe runs or condenser location is problematic.
Condensate can be gravity fed or pumped as shown in the photograph.
